Converting Negative to Positive: FAIL

On my drive home last night I was telling (via phone) my lovely wife about my goal for a Day of No Negativity.
We were both sitting in traffic at the time.
I started giving examples of trying to find (and say) the positives.
"Say, if I wasn't driving so slow I would not have noticed that bakery by the highway"
She jumped on board with "Crawling in traffic helps me see the litter by the road."

Inspiration for this

I’ve struggled for some time to reduce the number of smart aleck and negative comments I spew daily.
Not that I’m out of control… it’s just something I am aware of and working on.
